The Houston Heights Association is a nonprofit organization formed in 1973 for the purpose of encouraging and promoting the enhancement of the Houston Heights community. Over the years, the Association, comprised of individual and business volunteer committees, has worked for the redevelopment of the historic Heights neighborhood.

Today, the vision of the Association is for the Houston Heights to be recognized as a diverse, small town community in the heart of Houston, where neighbors and businesses thrive, children learn and play and history lives.

Projects of the Houston Heights Association have included the Heights Playground in Donovan Park, the restoration of the Fire Station, the Historic Lighting Project, the Paul Carr Jogging Trail and the Heights Boulevard Beautification Project.
