2018 13th Annual Houston Heights Bicycle Rally & Scavenger Hunt
Sunday, October 7, 2018
Marmion Park Houston, TX
1802 Heights Blvd.
Houston, TX US 77008
The one and the only original Heights Bicycle Rally & Scavenger Hunt will be what’s happening at Marmion Park located at Heights Blvd and 18th on Sunday, October 7.
This is not a race and is open to riders of all ages. The Rally & Scavenger Hunt is designed as a casual, self-paced ride. Choose between a 20-mile course through the Heights and surrounding neighborhoods or a shorter 5-mile ride designed for children and their adult companions — or do both.
This year we are adding a Stroller and Bike Parade. Strollers, tricycles, bikes with training wheels, wagons and non-motorized scooters are welcomed. Parents and guardians are encouraged to accompany their children and be part of the parade. Prizes will be awarded to registered participants for the best decorated “vehicle” in each of the five categories – Stroller, Tricycle, Training Wheels, Wagon and Scooter. Participation in the parade is free but registration is required to win.
Schedule for the day:
8:00 AM: Rally Packet Pick-up begins, Late Registration, 20-Mile Rally Starts
2:00 PM: 5-Mile Rally Starts
3:00 PM: Stroller and Trike Parade Starts
3:30 PM: Bicycle Rally Party in the Park starts — Music, hot dogs, beverages, and fun
3:30 PM: Bicycle Rally & Scavenger Hunt ends — Last chance to submit rally cards & clue sheets for prizes
4:30 PM: Awards Ceremony and door prize drawings (must be present to win).
So wear your helmets, and begin and end your day at Marmion Park. For more information, call 713.861.4002, option 8.
