On Friday, April 4, 2008, the HHA event of the year will be held in the SPJST Lodge at 1435 Beall.  Following a private preview of the 2008 Home Tour homes and gardens, the “Fresh Perspectives” Candlelight Dinner & Auction will feature a gourmet dinner by Melange.  Delicious martinis, courtesy of Heights Liquor on 11th Street, will be served in a funky “Martini Lounge” decorated by Kristal Kirksey with Jubilee.  The auction committee, led by Sandra Crook and Cindy Wingo Hemenway, has collected an abundance of enticing items, including beautiful jewelry, fun travel packages, elegant party packages, fine wine & accouterments, luxurious spa packages, pampered pet packages, exquisite home & garden décor, local artwork and collectible antiques.  Emcee extraordinaire, John Blass, will once again lead the live auction which includes the event’s cover art, a brilliant watercolor by adored local artist, Yu Cha Pak.  Additionally, a collaboration piece by well-known artists John Palmer and Chris Silkwood will showcase their multi-media design of oil on canvas mixed with beautiful mosaic work.

The ballroom of the SPJST Lodge will be the setting for the dinner and auction, decorated with flair by design genius, Angela DeWree, owner of Design and Inspiration.  We are also excited and honored that Eclectic Home on 19th Street will once again generously donate gorgeous gifts for all guests to take home as an addition to their home, and a lasting memento of this fabulous celebration.

This year’s attire is “Spring Bling” so dress up in fresh spring cocktail for the festivities!  The price for a reserved table of ten is $1,000 and individual tickets are $100 each.  Table Hosts will receive signage on their reserved table, acknowledgment in the evening’s Program, and an invitation for two to next year’s (2009) Kick-Off Party.  We’re already receiving reservations for the event and attendance is limited to 450—so be sure to reserve soon!  You may also mail your check to HHA, P.O. Box 70735, Houston, TX  77270 along with your guests' names.  Invitations will be mailed in mid-March, but you may reserve your table NOW: Buy tickets online!
